Surprise listing! Handmade ceramic dry bud vase created in my studio. This bud vase was raku fired, which is a low temp (relatively speaking) firing process done with a gas flame. I use a kiln that I made. At peak temp, the piece is taken out of the kiln and put into a reduction chamber to bring out the beautiful metallic effects. These effects may tone down over the years as the metallic surface is exposed to air and humidity, but they will always be beautiful! This particular vase, like the bowl I just listed, is really different. Most of the metallic effects are in the form of a beautiful pewter overlay. When the piece is turned just right, it reveals flashes of colors as if someone used interference powder on it. The result is magical, quiet, and elegant. <3 This vesel **will not hold water** and is best suited for displaying dry treasures as pictured. The vine and feathers are for illustration only, this listing is for only the vessel 🙂 Please see photos with rulers for size in inches. Shipping will be invoiced separately when your box is packed! Boxes can be held to combine shipping with a future sale. Just send an email to pipyrart@gmail.com and let me know you’d like to hold an open box!
