Handmade ceramic pendulum created in my studio.  This piece was created with layers of slip and glaze over a thrown and altered base. This one then had an aquamarine added and copper formed over the middle and the bail and the “straps” at the top. Then I encouraged a beautiful verdigris patina to develop over several days to enhance the ancient look. The piece at the end is a small partial skull from an owl pellet with copper formed over it. If you aren’t familiar with pendulums, they are wonderful little creatures. I personally use them as self reflection tools and have for many years.
