Handmade ceramic pendulum created in my studio.  This piece was created with layers of slip and glaze over a thrown and altered base. This one then had small bones from owl pellets added and copper formed over the surface of the bone and the bail and the “straps” at the top. Then I encouraged a beautiful verdigris patina to develop over several days to enhance the ancient look. If you aren’t familiar with pendulums, they are wonderful little creatures. I personally use them as self reflection tools and have for many years.
